2024 CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE
As advocates for Oregon's small businesses, we believe in transparency and empowering voters to make informed decisions.
We have distributed our questionnaire to all candidates registered with the Secretary of State, inviting them to share their positions on critical pro-business issues through a simple yes or no format, listed below.
To ensure accessibility, we invite candidates who may not have received the questionnaire to email us to receive a copy of the questionnaire.
This initiative shows our commitment to fostering informed voters and creating a dialogue around policies that directly impact the success and prosperity of small businesses in our communities.
Here are the questions we asked candidates to answer:
Reducing Excessive Regulations: Government regulations can sometimes hinder the growth of small businesses. Would you commit to taking specific actions to reduce unreasonable and excessive regulations on small businesses?
Understanding the Importance of a Business-Friendly Environment: A business-friendly environment contributes to the growth, job creation, and economic prosperity of a community/state. Would you take steps to foster such an environment for small businesses?
Position on Fair Taxation: Would you commit to advocating for policies that ensure fair taxation benefiting the growth and sustainability of local businesses?
Streamlining Licensing Processes: Licensing processes for small businesses need to be streamlined. Would you propose specific initiatives or reforms to reduce bureaucratic hurdles for entrepreneurs in Oregon?
Support for Public Safety and Law Enforcement: Public safety is a major concern for businesses in Oregon and is making it difficult for people to do business. Would you take actions to further a safer environment for businesses in your community?
